John Wierenga has advised families in West Michigan for nearly 20 years, and even helped several local banks start and manage investment programs. After several bank and brokerage mergers, he felt led to start an independent registered investment advisory firm to get away from the pressure to sell commission-based products and proprietary mutual funds. Instead, he could focus on the individual needs of clients and provide long-term investment relationships.
